Veterans Day Celebration in Gatlinburg
The Gatlinburg Veterans Day Celebration is always a popular event for the Smoky Mountain community. Only 57 cities in the entire country have the honor of being an official site for the observation of the Veterans Day holiday, which means that the activities that take place at these sites will be aligned with those taking place at the National Veterans Day Observance. The celebration in Gatlinburg is one of two of such sites in Tennessee. This can’t-miss event will be taking place at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies on Sunday, November 11 at 2 p.m. Admission is free, so bring the entire family!
The City of Gatlinburg will extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to all the men and women who put service before self. The activities often include recognition of veterans, patriotic music, a military flyover, an American Bald Eagle presentation, and more.
While you are in town for the Veterans day celebration, you may be interested in checking out a number of the other attractions in Gatlinburg, such as the Smoky Mountain National Park, Dollywood and the outlet malls in Pigeon Forge. Smoky Mountain Rafting is always enjoyable for the adventure lover, and shopaholics will enjoy the amazing deals that can be found at the malls.
