September 1, 2024 September 10th, 2024

If you’re lucky enough to visit the Smoky Mountains in September, you’ll find that it’s the perfect time to experience the Smokies! The peak crowds of the summer season are gone, the weather is delightful, and all of your favorite activities are still in full swing! You can even take advantage of our last white water rafting trips of the season, which run right up through the end of the month and into October! Here are 4 things to do in the Smoky Mountains in September:

1. Experience Our Natural Flow Trips

September is a unique time of year to experience our white water rafting trips in the Smoky Mountains, as they are natural flow trips that are completely dependent upon the power of Mother Nature! Since the water levels are less predictable this time of year, you may encounter everything from a gentle flow trip to thrilling class III and IV rapids! Our guided trips offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors while rafting the Pigeon River with your family and friends!

2. Camp Under the Stars
