SAFETY
Smoky Mountain Outdoors makes safety our #1 goal. We strive to set our standards at the highest level possible on the river. All guides are certified in Standard First Aid and CPR. An Emergency Medical Technician, better known as the trip leader accompanies every trip. Each guide is put through a rigorous training program that requires a minimum of 15 to 20 trips down the river before even qualifying to run a commercial trip. Many tryout, but few make the staff.

Before each trip, everyone is given a 20 minute safety talk. This is to better prepare you and your family for a safe and enjoyable river experience. Our reputation for safety is one of the highest in the southeast and we're working harder everyday to make it better!
