Smoky Mountain Outdoors is owned and operated by Denise and Daniel Jennette.
Daniel Jennette founded the business in 1993 while in the marketing program at Western Carolina University. After completing college, Daniel opened Smoky Mountain Outdoors located in Hartford, Tennessee with 2 rafts and 2 employees. In 12 years the business has grown every year to 70 employees and over 100 rafts.
Smoky Mountain Outdoors currently has an 8 acre "Brand New Facility" on the river with everything our guest need to have a great river experience.
Smoky Mountain Outdoors currently runs 40,000 people a year down the Big Pigeon River and plans to grow even more. It is our goal to provide a top quality trip for an affordable family and group rate. We are not the cheapest or the most expensive. However, our river experience is unbeatable.
